ZBrush Head Sculpt
For this project, I mainly wanted to focus on realistic facial structure to get more familiar with human proportions. Having not created many human characters, I felt that this was an important process that would carry over benefits to other types of character modeling, including stylized human and creature design. I also experimented with new modifiers such as surface noise to get skin texture. Lastly, I added poly-paint to the model for some visual depth.

I first blocked out shapes for the head, which largely followed the below reference. From there I made adjustments to the proportions, smoothing out the angular details. For the detail pass, I referenced a model by Marco Plouffe as it had very readable details for skin texture and wrinkles. I also refined the nose, brow line, and mouth to fit better with the head shape.
